About us

Ever since I was very young, I had great love for music, and wanted to either make it myself, or work around those who did. I used to read the music magazines, and always thought I would be perfect for something like that. Last year, I took the plunge and The Savage Side was born. Part band interviews, part short stories, and part model features, as well as other things such as reviews, tributes to lost (or current) metal-friendly pets, and music, music, music!

This magazine is for the lone guy who puts Pantera on the bar’s jukebox, the girl who roars along with Otep while driving to work. The struggling members of local/smaller bands, working their asses off to be able to afford to make the music they love, driving in a crowded, smelly van with four other guys, and a busted air conditioner. For the women who can’t find a man anymore because they want someone with long hair and a taste for the growl, as well as men who have same problem, seeking devilish little metal angels with tattooed wings, and a love for all things metal!
